It would be great if we lived in a world where this wasn't a consideration but we can give you some peace of mind with home security from something as simple as an efficient security light right through to full automated alarm and security systems.
Let's look at these options....
Security lighting
The humble sensor light is a great place to start. If you ask any police officer they will attest to the fact that thieves are much less likely to break in to a house when it's well lit and they are more likely to get caught.
We offer new generation LED sensor lights which use much less energy and are longer lasting. We can have these installed from as little as $149 per light.
Sunset Lighting Package
If you're away for a while we could set up an automated lighting system which runs lights at certain times of day so that your house doesn't look empty.
One that we've installed lately has a sunset sensor on it so the lights come on in the house after dark and can also be timed to go off at say 10pm at night.
A good setup for one of these will cost you around $250 installed.
Automatic Gates
You may already know that we love our automation here at My Electrical so where would we be without throwing some trick automation in there!
The right solution here depends on the type of gate you have. We run good equipment for the gate motors and depending on wiring requirements these kick off from around $2000. This will allow the gates to automatically shut behind you and keep them shut all the time except when you're driving through.
From there you can add on an intercom, keypad, or even video if you like.
If you really want to impress the neighbours then you'll want a proximity pad installed in the ground which opens your gate as you drive down the driveway. Once again it depends on the surface of your driveway as the installation can take some time and cause a bit of a mess but this starts at around $700.
I could go on all day long about security and technology options. The truth is that if you can dream it, there's probably an option out there. It just depends how much you want to spend.
